Dr. Andry is a board-certified pediatrician with a rich background in the field of eating disorders. Her career began as a pediatric hospitalist, where she initially encountered patients with eating disorders. Although her early training at Children’s Hospital of New Orleans provided foundational knowledge, her desire to deepen her expertise drove her to seek more advanced learning opportunities.

Her journey of self-directed education led her to a significant role at a major eating disorder hospital, where she played a key part in managing a facility with a diverse range of programs, including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and traditional outpatient care. Overseeing a 50-bed hospital with a 30-bed PHP, Dr. Andry gained invaluable experience working with a large and varied patient population of children and young adults facing eating disorders.

To further her expertise, Dr. Andry earned her Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) credential and became a qualified supervisor for eating disorders through the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp). After gaining extensive experience and insights, she felt a strong pull to return to her hometown of New Orleans.

Recognizing the absence of specialized eating disorder centers in Louisiana, Dr. Andry was motivated to establish an outpatient clinic with a full multidisciplinary team. Her goal is to provide expert care tailored to the needs of patients struggling with eating disorders. Through her extensive experience, she has learned the critical importance of a comprehensive care team, including an eating disorder physician, dietitian, therapist, and, when needed, a speech therapist, to deliver effective and compassionate care.

our why

eating disorder specific care is critical for recovery

  • Eating disorder-specific care allows for individualized treatment plans with a personalized approach to increase the likelihood of effective treatment, recovery, and relapse prevention to achieve long-term recovery.

  • Eating disorders are complex conditions with psychological, physical, and behavioral components which require specialized treatment approaches to address all aspects of the disorder.

  • Severe medical complications, including malnutrition, electrolyte imbalances, and cardiac issues are just a few of the complications patients with eating disorders experience. Specialized care is needed to manage these risks and provide appropriate medical interventions.
