knowledge is the first step in creating lasting change

Eating disorders are serious but treatable mental and physical illnesses. In the United States, an estimated 28.8 million Americans will experience an eating disorder at some point in their lives.

These complex disorders develop when biological, psychological, and sociocultural factors trigger an underlying genetic predisposition. Due to the complexities and nuances of feeding and eating disorders, there is a need for comprehensive, multi-faceted approaches to treatment and recovery.

Patients with feeding and eating disorders can present with a variety of physical symptoms that may be due to the eating disorder or could even be manifested from emotional concerns. We know through multiple studies that our physical and emotional well being are tied together closely. Treatment of both the mind and body allows all areas to be addressed during treatment to encourage knowledgeable and fast recovery.
